Thomas J. DeVore

President & COO

As President and Chief Operating Officer for Focus Property Group, Thomas J. DeVore is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the company and its affiliated entities. He previously served as general counsel for the company.

A key member of the Focus executive team, he has provided legal expertise in the structure and financing of the company’s successful bids for BLM land in the Las Vegas Valley, and in the operation and sale of Focus’ Mountain’s Edge and Providence master planned communities. He also has guided the processing of more than $140 million in improvement district financing transactions for those projects.

Mr. DeVore also was instrumental in coordinating the formation of the Focus-led consortium, which was the successful bidder at the BLM auction in June 2004, paying $557 million for 1,953 acres of land in Henderson. That consortium obtained $535 million in acquisition and development financing for that project from a group of institutions led by JP Morgan. Focus also formed and led a similar consortium, which was successful at the February 2005 BLM auction, paying $510 million for 1,710-acres in northwest Las Vegas.

Prior to joining Focus Property Group in early 2002, Mr. DeVore worked for 15 years as an associate attorney and partner in the highly regarded real estate law firm of Goold, Patterson, DeVore, Ales & Roadhouse. With extensive experience in commercial real estate and finance transactions, DeVore represented national home builders, master developers, institutional lenders and real estate operating companies in numerous complex transactions. He has served on the boards of a number of local charitable organizations and has lectured on real estate finance and title matters.
